Valentines Day – Things To Do In Melbourne

CUPID IN THE CITY

There are so many things to do in Melbourne for  Valentine’s Day. Whether you’re coupled up or flying solo this Valentine’s Day, there’s no lovelier place to be than magical Melbourne. Here’s some things you can do with your date – or mates – to celebrate the day of love.

RIDE OR DIE

Feel your heart soar – literally – as you fly high about the city at Luna Park’s dream Luna Love night. There’s choccies and fairy floss for you and your sweetheart, plus unlimited rides. Our pick? Beeline for the Great Scenic Railway and watch the sun set over Port Phillip Bay.

Tickets are $75 per loved-up couple, and the night runs from 6-11pm on Valentine’s Day at Luna Park.

WINE NOT
If date night translates to scrumptious share plates and good wine, make your way to Docklands’ fave Bohemian Wine Bar for an evening of intimate delights. There’ll be oysters and bubbles on arrival, followed by prawn croquettes, lamb cutlets marinated in garlic and thyme with caponata and red mojo sauce and indulgent house-made profiteroles with toffee cream and chocolate sauce. It’s all complemented by the stunning views of the Yarra River.

Available for lunch or dinner for $67 per person. The romance unfolds at 35 Dukes Walk, South Wharf.

BE MY GALENTINE

Flying solo this V-day? Grab the girls and make your way to a GAL-entine’s Day celebration. Hosted by The Lonely Hearts Club and Chapel Street Precinct. There’ll be plenty to do with life drawing classes, a chat with love and life coach Emily Chadbourne, and lots of cheese and fab cocktails. The aim? For you to leave empowered to be single and comfortable in your own beautiful body.

Tickets are $80, and it’s on from 6.30pm to 9.30pm at Market Gallery in South Yarra. Visit thelonelyheartsclub.com.au

SKY HIGH

Settle in under the stars at Scienceworks for an evening of mystical romance. You and your love will witness an exclusive live dome presentation of Melbourne’s night sky, highlighting ancient love stories from the celestial past. You’ll also be treated to a glass of wine and cheese on arrival, a screening of Melbourne Planetarium’s latest production Capturing the Cosmos and outdoor stargazing through telescopes.

The February 14 session has sold out, but a new session on February 13 has been added. Doors open at 7.30pm for an 8-9.30pm show.
